Forest on Fires Affects Oxygen Content

Gases in the atmosphere are: Nitrogen (78 %), Oxygen (21 %), and the CO2 about 0.3 %, and the trace gases. Oxygen content in the air should reach 21%, but the catastrophic forest on fires will reduce the percentage of oxygen in the air.
So, I here write some suggestions for reducing the health effects of smog produce by forest on fires include:

1. Stay in the house (in door). Close the meeting room (or home) and use the air conditioning, thereby reducing exposure to outdoor air pollution rich. Encourage children to play in the room / house. In the particular circumstances of time-time to be more severe smog because the smoke is going down closer to the ground is influenced weather at day and in the night.

2. Keep the room is kept clean by:
a. Close doors and windows tightly.
b. Turn on the air conditioner and water-use cleaner if available.
c.Do not sweep or clean that removes dust, although using a vacuum cleaner.
d. Do not turn on the source of the smoke or burn something in the room
e. In certain families may be available space safe haven from the outside environment.

3. Reduce physical activity. Physical activity such as exercise will make a person breathe outside air 10-20 times more.

4. Reduce indoor pollution sources, such as do not smoke in the room, let alone do the cooking stoves using firewood, do not always sweep the house, do not turn on the candles, reduce frying activities that generate excessive smoke.

5. When in the room should use the AC worked well and do not forget to frequently clean the air filter. We recommend that you select an environmentally friendly air conditioning with minimal ozone emissions. AC will be keeping the air in the room is going smog when outdoors.

6. Some electronics stores sell equipment air filter (air-filter). HEPA-filter air cleaner can clean indoor air during a forest fire. Air-cleaner tool there are manual and some are electric. Carefully choose the air-cleaner or air-purifier, do not use that produce ozone emissions. Humidifier instead of water-cleaner so it can not reduce the pollutants are also dangerous gases in the smoke but could help in areas with high humidity.

7. Be careful when driving with the car because the levels of pollutants in the car can rise quickly.

8. Use protective respiratory masks. Mask is recommended NIOSH-certified N95 or P100. Use a mask as directed. Keep in mind that the mask is not to improve oxygen supply. Unfortunately the N95 or P100 masks are still not affordable in our country, may be found in home stores or certain pharmacies. Mask "surgical" provides little or no shield at all. 9. Always follow the news in the neighborhood.

10. Evacuate to a safe area if possible. Do not forget to keep communication with your doctor. Immediately ask for medical help when health conditions increasingly difficult. Provide drugs might be required when an emergency situation. Provide groceries for a few days if it can not be forced out of the house.

Forests are very important for our lives, even though we are city people who live far from the forest. Let us participate actively protect the forest because the forest is a boon to mankind. Prevent fires and deforestation because forests have many functions:

1. Forests will store rain water and then collecting it into the ground until the water back out of the spring form the rivers that become the source of life of living beings.

2. Forest will prevent erosion and drought. Forest will keep the soil so as not to landslides. Forest will hold water so it does not flood. The water is retained longer on earth can prevent the risk of drought during the dry season.

3. Forests also regulate the climate. Forests absorb carbon dioxide (CO2) produced by humans. Forests will produce oxygen (O2) as a product of photosynthesis, so increasing the oxygen content.

4. Forests are home to flora and fauna that are a source of wealth.

5. Forests as a source of life for the surrounding communities as certified wood and ecotourism industry. Best efforts to prevent the dangers of smog is the control and prevention of forest fires by controlling and preventing combustion techniques and forest land as land preparation for agricultural crops and plantation forests. Let's care about our forests ... When the lungs of the world's "healthy", we humans are the inhabitants of the earth will be healthy .
